I was interested in volunteering and was looking to get some more information.

-I see that you meet Saturdays and Sundays at 9am. What sort of work is done?

-Do I need to come with a dive buddy or can I just show up?

-Do I need any other equipment?

-Is it at all possible to borrow or otherwise acquire tanks/fills? (ie does underwater sports give free tank rentals or fills to volunteers).

Here is a link to the diver schedule you probably already found: http://www.edmondsun...-schedule-2010/

Volunteering is easy. You just show up at Underwater Sports in Edmonds at 9AM on Saturday or Sunday or both.
You don't need to bring a buddy as we will dive as a group and pair you up with a regular volunteer.
You can get your dive cylinders filled free if you are volunteering.

If you don't own tanks, you may just want to rent them the first couple times and then see if any of the other volunteers could loan you tanks. Most of us have extra tanks.

The only equipment you need is your normal dive gear that you are comfortable in.

We are an easy going fun group and the dive plan each day is adapted to the dive conditions and the volunteers that show up.

There is no pressure to volunteer as we are happt to have people's time however it works for them. We generally have a couple different faces every weekend.
